Elegant spikes of fsmall foxglove like flowers with a mixture of pink and blue and a metallic sheen are produced from midsummer to autumn. Excellent for mid or front of border attractive to bees a makes a good cut flower. Not fully hardy in cold areas so should be given a dry mulch around the base in autumn but easily grown from cuttings which should be taken in July and August.. Grows to a height of 60cm and spread of 45cm in any well drained soil in a sheltered sunny position.
