Saponaria officionalis 'Flore Pleno'

This classic cottage garden plant has pale pink double flowers from midsummer through autumn adding delicious scent to front of borders and wildflower borders, Commonly known as Soapwort (sap from the stems and roots was mixed with water to make a lather soap, useful for washing fabrics that can be damaged by synthetic soaps)  It grows to a height of 60cm and spread of 1 m in full sun or part shade in any well drained soil. Hardy and attractive to pollinators, good for cutting and drying.
