This form of our native meadowsweet has deep rich pink fluffy flowers that fade to a lighter pink in July and August as they age. The flowers are carried on sturdy dark maroon stems well above the large deeply divided lacy bronze tinted leaves from early to midsummer. A lovely plant for a wildflower meadow or prairie planting scheme or near ponds. Grow in moist soil in full sun or part shade. Can get to a height of 2.5 m and spread of 1m. Also makes an interesting cut flower and is very attractive to pollinators.
