The dark almost black stems and foliage are complimented by masses of lilac purple flowers, putting on a fantastic show from September. Grow in full sun or part shade in most well-drained soil where it will reach a height of 120- 180cm and spread of 1m. Bee and butterfly friendly, it makes a good cut flower and is resistant to mildew and very hardy, a must have for bee keepers.
