Verbascum phoeniceum 'Violetta'

This compact perennial verbascum has rich purple blooms from May to August followed by attractive seedheads that darken to a reddish black. Ideal for growing in a sunny mixed herbaceous border or containers.  Best to grow in well drained soil in neutral to alkaline soil. To prolong flowering remove faded flower stems.  Attractive to bees and  butterflies and hardy it grows to a height of 90cm and spread of  45cm
